Elm Grove is a village in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. The village is positioned just 20 minutes west of Milwaukee for those who commute to the metropolitan area.
The village of Elm Grove is surrounded by four major roads, one of which is a U.S. Highway, U.S. Highway 18, or Bluemound Road. The other boundaries are made up of Pilgrim Parkway on the west, North Avenue on the North, and 124th Street on the East.
Elm Grove was once part of the 36-square-mile Town of Brookfield. It has managed to retain much of its small town charm even after its incorporation in 1955.
In October 2014, Elm Grove WI was named as America’s best suburb by Business Insider. Over 300 suburbs with populations between 5,000 and 100,000 were looked at when compiling the list. Elm Grove is served by the Elmbrook School District and shares schools with its neighboring town, Brookfield. There are also parochial schools in the village which include Elm Grove Lutheran School (K-8) and St. Mary’s Visitation Parish School (K-8).
